How to ask AI Botanist better plant questions

Use AI Botanist for plant care, watering, disease, light, and troubleshooting questions with enough context to get a useful answer.

By Planture Team ·

AI Botanist is helpful when a care question needs more context than a simple checklist. The better your question, the better the answer can be.

Include the plant name

If Planture identified the plant, include the name in your question. If you are not sure, describe what you know and mention that the identification is uncertain.

Describe the environment

Useful details include:

  • How much light the plant gets
  • How often you water
  • Whether the pot has drainage
  • Recent changes in location, soil, or temperature
  • What symptoms you see and when they started

Ask one clear question at a time

Instead of asking "What is wrong with my plant?", try a focused question such as "My monstera has yellow lower leaves after weekly watering. Should I change the schedule?"

Pair chat with tools

AI Botanist works best alongside Planture features. Use Plant ID for the plant name, Diagnose for visible symptoms, Light Meter for brightness checks, and Reminders to turn the advice into a habit.
